This policy explains what RigalShop ("we", "us") does with your personal data when you visit rigalshop.com or join our early access list. We keep it simple because we collect very little.
Who we are
RigalShop publishes woodworking plans. You can reach us at sales@rigalshop.com for any question about your data.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you sign up for the early access list.
- Sign-up records: the date and time you signed up and confirmed, and the IP address used. Our email provider stores these to prove that you agreed to join.
- Basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, which our hosting provider processes to deliver and secure the website.
- Any message you send us by email.
We do not ask for your name, address or payment details to join the list.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To send you your free plan and news about the RigalShop launch. Basis: your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form and confirming your email.
- To answer your messages. Basis: our legitimate interest in replying to you.
- To keep the website running and secure. Basis: our legitimate interest.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for anything other than what is described here.
Who handles your data
We use trusted service providers to run the site and the list. They process data on our behalf:
- MailerLite stores the early access list and sends our emails.
- Cloudflare hosts the website, provides the domain's DNS and protects it from abuse.
- Zoho Mail handles the emails you send to sales@rigalshop.com.
- Pinterest: the "Save" buttons on our project photos open Pinterest in a new tab when you click them. Nothing is sent to Pinterest until you click, and Pinterest's own privacy policy applies from that point.
- Google reCAPTCHA helps block spam bots on the sign-up form. It may set cookies and read information from your device under Google's own privacy policy.
Some of these providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards each provider offers for international transfers.
Cookies
Our website does not set its own cookies and does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site from abuse. The sign-up form and Google reCAPTCHA may load scripts that use cookies or similar technology so that the form works and stays protected from spam.
How long we keep your data
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After you unsubscribe, we may keep a minimal record that you opted out so that we do not email you again. Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before you withdrew it. You can unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of every email, or email us at sales@rigalshop.com and we will act on your request. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Our early access list is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will delete the address.
Security
The website uses HTTPS, and our providers use industry-standard security measures. No system is completely secure, but we only collect what we need so there is less to protect.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell list members by email.
